The Lamp of the Body

Jesus said, “The eye is the lamp of the body.” And early in the morning, before the noise rises, that truth hits differently.
Because whatever you let your eyes rest on… your whole being begins to absorb. If your gaze is fixed on light, your life fills with clarity. If your gaze drifts toward darkness, the shadows inside grow quietly, slowly, silently.
Most people don’t fall in a single moment. They drift, one glance, one distraction, one compromise at a time. The morning is where that drift begins… and the morning is where it can be stopped.
So hear this as the day begins: Guard your gaze. Choose what you look at. Choose what you feed your soul. Choose the light Christ offers before the world offers anything else.
Because if the lamp of the body is clear, the whole day becomes clear. And if Christ is the first thing you see, everything else will fall into its rightful place.
