Joy Comes in the Morning: A Reminder for Your Heart Today

There’s something holy about a new morning. A quiet, gentle reminder straight from the heart of God that darkness never gets the final word. No matter what yesterday held, no matter what the night tried to steal, the sunrise declares a truth heaven has spoken since the beginning: joy is coming, not because life is perfect, but because Jesus is faithful.

The Gospel of Thomas echoes a truth we see woven throughout Scripture: “What you seek is within you.”   For the believer, this isn’t vague spirituality, it’s a powerful reality. Christ Himself dwells within you. His Spirit lives in you. His presence fills the places where fear once lived. That means you’re not searching for joy out in the world, and you’re not waiting for circumstances to finally line up. The Spirit of God is already at work inside you, stirring hope, renewing strength, awakening peace.

Maybe last night was heavy. Maybe you cried until you had no words left. Maybe you questioned everything, or felt completely worn out by the weight you’ve been carrying. But even in those moments, especially in those moments, God never left you. He didn’t step back. He didn’t grow silent. He didn’t stop working on your behalf. His love didn’t waver for a second.

This morning, He whispers the same promise found in Psalm 30: “Weeping may endure for a night, but joy comes in the morning.”   It’s not just poetry, it’s a promise. A declaration. A spiritual reality that outlasts every storm, every setback, every long night of the soul.

So lift your eyes today. Let your heart breathe again. Let the weight you’ve been carrying fall into the hands of the One who carries you. Receive the joy Jesus is pouring into you, a joy the world can’t give, a joy the darkness can’t take away, a joy that rises with the morning light and reminds you that God is still writing your story.

Because joy… Joy comes in the morning.
