A mustard seed is small, but it holds one clear pattern within it. Christ used that image to teach a truth that is easy to miss: focused faith can move what looks immovable.In Matthew 17:20, Jesus says that faith “as a grain of mustard seed” can say to a mountain, “Move,” and it will move. In Luke 17:6, the same kind of faith speaks to a tree, and the tree obeys. These sayings are often read as miracles only. They are that, but they also point to something practical.
