"We must pay the most careful attention… so that we do not drift away.” Drifting is one of the quietest spiritual dangers. It does not happen through rebellion, it happens through neglect. It does not happen through dramatic decisions, it happens through small compromises. It does not happen overnight, it happens gradually, almost invisibly. This is why Scripture warns us to pay “the most careful attention.” Not casual attention. Not occasional attention. Careful attention.
