Serene lake reflects lush green pine trees and snow-capped mountains under a bright blue sky with scattered clouds. Peaceful mood.
A tranquil lake mirrors the vibrant green of pine trees and the majesty of snow-capped mountains, embodying the profound truth beneath the noise.

What truth is beneath the noise?

Noise is the oldest illusion. It is the restless hum of the world, the churning of the mind, the echo of every fear that insists you are separate from the Divine. Christ speaks into this noise not with force, but with a clarity so gentle it can only be heard by a quieted heart.

When Jesus said, “The kingdom of God is within you” (Luke 17:21), He was pointing to a truth that does not shout. It waits beneath the surface of your thoughts like a hidden spring, pure and untroubled. The noise of life, the striving, the comparison, the fear of not being enough, forms only a thin layer over this deeper reality.

Christ’s teachings consistently invite us to descend beneath that layer. He calls us into the inner room, the secret place, the quiet where the Father sees in secret. He calls us away from the storm and into the stillness where His voice becomes unmistakable.

Noise tells you that you must earn your worth. Truth tells you that you were loved before you were formed.

Noise tells you that you are alone in your struggle. Truth tells you, “I am with you always.”

Noise tells you that peace is something you must chase. Truth tells you that peace is already planted within you, waiting to be uncovered.

Christ does not remove the noise; He reveals what is more real than the noise. He shows that beneath every anxious thought lies a deeper ground, the ground of being, the ground of God’s presence. This is why He could sleep in the storm. His awareness was rooted not in the waves but in the One who holds the waves.

Majestic mountain peaks bathed in the warm glow of a vibrant sunset, symbolizing Christ's boundless love for humanity.

To follow Christ is to practice this same descent. It is to let the mind settle like sediment in clear water until the truth becomes visible again. It is to return, again and again, to the quiet center where God whispers the same eternal message:

“You are mine. You are loved. You are not separate from Me.”

When you ask, What truth is beneath the noise?” you are really asking, “Who am I beneath everything I think I am?”   And Christ answers with a simplicity that dissolves every illusion:

“You are the light of the world.”

Not because you strive to be, but because you were created from Light itself.

So breathe. Let the noise soften. Let the heart unclench. Let the truth rise.

Beneath the noise is the Kingdom. Beneath the noise is the Presence. Beneath the noise is the Love that has never left you.

Beneath the noise is the you God has always known, quietly waiting for your awakening to catch up to your truth.
