A Christ‑Centered Reflection on Darkness, Deception, and the Unshakeable Reality of God

Many people today look at the world and feel a rising heaviness. Violence, corruption, cruelty, and confusion seem to be multiplying. What once hid in shadows now walks openly. What was once called good is mocked, and what was once called evil is celebrated. For many, this moment in history feels darker than anything they have lived through.
Yet the very clarity with which we now perceive the darkness is itself a sign of awakening. Christ teaches that evil is not a new force emerging in the world; it is an old distortion being exposed by increasing light. The pain we feel is not the triumph of darkness but the unveiling of what has always been present.
Christ never told us to fear such times. He told us to discern them. Evil is not a second power competing with God. It is blindness, deception, and separation from truth. As Scripture declares, “The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it” (John 1:5).
Darkness has no substance of its own. It survives only where light is absent. It feeds on confusion, fear, and spiritual sleep. And when the light grows, darkness thrashes, not because it is strong, but because it is losing its hiding place.
What we see in the world today is not proof that evil is gaining power. It is proof that humanity is waking up.
Christ reveals that every person is animated by the same divine life, but the expression of that life depends on the condition of the heart. “A good tree cannot bear bad fruit…” (Matthew 7:18). When hearts are wounded, fearful, or spiritually blind, the divine energy within them becomes twisted. This distortion, not a rival force, is the root of the evil we witness.
Yet Christ never forces transformation. “If anyone hears my voice and opens the door…” (Revelation 3:20). Love knocks; it does not break down the door. God does not eliminate evil by force. He dissolves it by awakening the heart.
This is why the world feels so intense right now. Light is increasing. Awareness is rising. People who once lived comfortably in illusion are suddenly seeing the truth about themselves, their choices, and the systems around them. What was hidden is being revealed. What was tolerated is being confronted. What was ignored is being exposed.
Christ teaches that separation from God is not real, it is a veil. “Abide in me, as I abide in you” (John 15:4). As that veil lifts, everything built on deception begins to crumble.
And because nothing exists outside the One, nothing is beyond redemption. “Behold, I make all things new” (Revelation 21:5). The darkness of this age is not the end of the story. It is the beginning of renewal.
Christ honors those who feel the weight of this moment. “Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness” (Matthew 5:6). Your discomfort is not a sign of despair; it is a sign of spiritual sensitivity. It means your heart is aligned with truth.
The world contains darkness, but darkness is not a second power. It is a temporary shadow within the One Light. The question is not, “Why is there so much evil now?” but rather, “What is God revealing through this exposure?”
And today, something remarkable is happening. Across the world, people are waking up. Eyes once closed are opening. Hearts once numb are discerning. The inner light is growing, and as it grows, it exposes the shadows that were always present but rarely seen.
This awakening is not merely personal, it is collective. A veil is lifting from humanity itself.
And as each heart awakens, the world is being made new.
