Pride is one of the easiest sins to hide and one of the hardest to admit. It convinces us we’re stronger than we are, wiser than we are, and safer than we are. But Obadiah 1:3–4 reminds us that pride doesn’t just inflate the heart — it deceives it. When we start believing we can “soar like the eagle” without God, we set ourselves up for a fall we never saw coming. This is a loving warning, not a harsh one. God exposes pride not to embarrass us, but to rescue us.
